This is a long term contract (from now to 2028) for our Oil & Gas client based in Houston, TX.

This position is onsite 2 days a week.

 

Program Manager (PMO Office)                                            Business/Location: Finance                   

This role will support the successful delivery of the overall ERP transformation program through implementation & management of program metrics, reporting cadence, risks and issues identification and escalation. This role will facilitate cross-track level operational processes, execution, and continuous improvement in program delivery (inclusive and beyond core ERP scope).

 

Main Accountabilities: 

  • This is a highly visible role supporting project delivery across the transformation.
  •        PMO Management.
  •        Build out standard status reporting
  •        Roll out reporting to the project team
  •        Build overall governance framework— includes program, template, and deployment governance
  •        Construct program decision-making framework
  •        Roll out governance framework to wider community
  •        Begin to facilitate and lead Change Control Board
  •        Own and facilitate transformation assurance services by external auditor
  •        Manage governance of solution
  •        Drive overall change control process
  •        Drive overall schedule of program against agreed upon timeline, roadmap, and resourcing
  •        Manage escalations and raise areas of concerns to Accountable Executive
  •        Support status meetings, steering committee meetings, etc. (Obeya, Weekly Status, etc.)
  •        Confirm and establish cadence of status reporting with team
  •        Confirm and establish cadence of reporting to Accountable Executive
  •        Confirm and establish the risk and issue management process and cadence
  •        Own and facilitate transformation assurance services by external auditor
  •        Continue to facilitate and lead Change Control Board
  •        Collect inputs to Change Control Board and act as gatekeeper into this meeting
  •        Push teams to collect all attributes for each change and verify preparedness for each CCB
  •        Continuously drive for standard solution and minimize changes, only accepting changes were imperative
  •        Own and facilitate transformation assurance services by external auditor

Experience: 

  •        10+ years combined experience in project management, program management and PMO implementations.
  •        Excellent understanding of project and program management tools with a focu on supporting ERP implementation projects.
  •        Proven process improvement, and data analytics skills.
  •        Ability to understand and demonstrate knowledge of data mining, statistical, and/or data mining methods and tools
  •        Excellent leadership and managerial skills to lead / manage matrix teams in multiple geographies.
  •        Ability to travel, to be defined based on overall program plan and timelines.

 

Qualifications:

  •        Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management or operations required; PMI Project Management Professional certification preferred.

           Adept at working in a matrix project structure, providing support to multiple teams.

       Experience working across multiple levels of an organization and can present succinct messages to leadership but also has the patience to understand details from team members.

           Ability to drive consensus and resolve conflicts across multiple parties.

           Performs project management of program, in line with our client’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.

           Ability to work with external auditor in the application of transformation assurance services.
